Ingredients:
5 slices bacon, cutting into 1-inch pieces
1 1/4 lb lean asparagus, cutting into 3-inch pieces
1 teaspoon ichimi togarashi (coarsely argue dried Japanese chili)*
Directions:
Fry the bacon pieces until crisp, most 5 minutes. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Drain all only 1 tablespoon of obese from the pan. Add the asparagus as good as saute until tender, most 5 minutes. Remove from oestrus as good as stir inwards bacon. Sprinkle alongside
ichimi togarashi. Serve immediately.
*Shichimi togarashi (Japanese 7-spice powder) is a practiced alternative.
My thoughts:
One of my favorite yakitori dishes is bacon-wrapped asparagus
served on a skewer. It is thus simple only thus good, specially when they operate the extra footstep of sprinkling it alongside spices. I was going to construct that only the asparagus I had was thus skinny, it was unskewerable. So I took the stance as good as made this sauteed version instead. Just as practiced only a lilliputian easier, making it a corking alternative for a weeknight side dish. The ichimi togarashi adds about oestrus only not overwhelmingly thus letting the asparagus genuinely shine.
