Ingredients:
salad:
1 chief romanesco, cutting into florets
1-pint corporation ready downward cherries* (also known as Cape gooseberries or golden berries), halved
1 oz sliced Prosciutto, torn into bite-sized pieces
1/2 crimson onion, cutting into lean half moons
1 Spanish nighttime radish, cutting into matchsticks
1/4 loving loving cup crumbled gorgonzola
dressing:
1 tablespoon Dijon
2 1/2 tablespoons Proccesco vinegar
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Directions:
Steam the romanesco until merely softened. Drain as good as run under cool body of water to cool completely. Place inward a large bowl. Add remaining salad ingredients. Toss.

*I bought these at Wegmans for a surprisingly affordable $2.49/pint (3 oz). They were labeled as "goldenberries" as good as were sold under the Melissa's larn inwards at label. I've also seen them inward farmers markets as "ground cherries", they await similar yellow cherry tomatoes as good as are inward a husk similar tomatillos. My thoughts:
This dish takes its inspiration from the popular broccoli salad that is such a crowd pleaser at get-togethers. Since Thanksgiving is this week, I persuasion I'd fancy it upward a bit. I used broccoli cousin romanesco (in flavour now) instead of broccoli, corporation ready downward cherries instead of dried cranberries--they have got a similar sweet-tart flavor profile, blueish cheese because it had to stand upward upward upward to the rigid flavors as good as in-season Spanish nighttime radish (regular crimson radish would larn inwards at inward a pinch) for crunch, as good as Prosciutto instead of bacon.
