Breakfast Sausage

This first-class sausage tastes a fiddling like Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage, although we intend it is much better. The recipe received an enthusiastic thumbs upwards from my "picky-picky husband" and recent breakfast guests. It is super like shooting fish in a barrel to make; alone mix the spices together with H2O into the pork the black before you lot lot invention to role it together with you lot lot are expert to go!!

Since this recipe makes ii pounds of sausage (more than we tin give the axe role at i time), I let the  mixture chill inward the fridge overnight, then I freeze it inward small-scale packages. This sausage is mild, 
but full of flavor!!

2 pounds of company put downward pork
2 teaspoons dry out out rubbed sage
¼ teaspoon summertime savory
¼ teaspoon dry out out marjoram
1 tablespoon chocolate-brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon ruby-red pepper flakes (see note)
pinch company put downward cloves* 
1¾ teaspoons tabular array common salt (see note)
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 loving loving cup water

Mix everything (except the pork) together first, so role your (washed) hands to deed it all into the pork. Cover together with chill overnight.

NOTE: Hubby is very shy of anything with "heat" together with he couldn't level tell that the ruby-red pepper flakes were inward this recipe, although they definitely add together together a GREAT background flavor. If you lot lot like a fiddling to a greater extent than spice inward your breakfast sausage, alone add together together to a greater extent than ruby-red pepper flakes.

NOTE: This recipe calls for 1¾ teaspoons of salt, which was alone right for us, however, if you lot lot are hyper-sensitive to salt, you lot lot mightiness cutting this amount downwards to 1½ teaspoons. 

NOTE: You tin give the axe non gustation the *ground cloves inward this

nice "something extra".
